Managing Director in Beauty

 

 

 

 

   Your responsibilities:

  • Overseeing daily company operations, including marketing, training, distribution, and sales of cosmetic products.

  • Coordinating activities between different departments such as marketing, training, finance, and distribution.

  • Developing and implementing growth strategies aligned with the company's mission and long-term goals.

  • Monitoring market trends and competitor actions to identify new business opportunities.

  • Planning expansion into new international markets and developing existing markets where the brand is already present.

  • Recruiting, training, and developing employees at all organizational levels.

  • Conducting regular evaluations of employees and teams.

  • Motivating the team to achieve set sales and operational goals.

  • Creating and maintaining a positive work culture within the company.

  • Developing and managing the company budget.

  • Optimizing operational costs.

  • Preparing and regularly analyzing financial reports and presenting them to the Board.

  • Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with current and potential distributors.

  • Representing the company at industry trade shows and conferences.

  • Leading efforts to adapt the company to new technologies and market trends.

  • Introducing new technologies for managing international distribution.

Position Goals:

  • 1 month: Familiarize yourself with the company’s organizational structure and key projects. Conduct an operational and financial audit and present findings to the Board.

  • 3 months: Integrate into ongoing projects and establish relationships with key clients. Implement initial operational improvements and propose adjustments to the company structure to achieve sales goals.

  • 6 months: Develop and present a 2-year growth strategy to the Board. Propose changes in the foreign distributor management system to increase sales in existing markets and improve operational efficiency by at least 10%.

  • 12 months: Achieve set sales and operational targets. Launch new business initiatives to expand into new markets or distribution channels.

We require:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial position in the cosmetics industry.

  • Proven success in managing a cosmetics company or a team in marketing, export, operations, or sales in a cosmetics company with revenues of at least 25 million PLN.

  • Fluency in English and Polish; knowledge of French is a strong asset.

  • Higher education in management, economics, or marketing; additional MBA studies are a plus.

  • Practical experience in team and project management.

  • Knowledge of operational and financial management.

  • Understanding of the cosmetics market and current trends.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Result-oriented, highly organized, responsible, and committed.

  • Ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.

  • High activity level and success orientation.

  • Independence, executive capability, and decision-making skills.

  • High personal culture.

  • Ability to think outside the box and openness to new ideas and solutions.

  • Experience in change management.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and communication/task optimization tools such as ASANA.

Recruitment process steps:

  3. Present your skills and experience in the cosmetics industry during the competency interview (50-70 minutes).

  4. Meet your potential Supervisor-Employer online (about 60 minutes).

  5. Complete a recruitment task that confirms your competencies.

  6. Present your work results at a personal meeting at the Employer’s headquarters in Warsaw.

  7. Agree on cooperation terms with the Employer.

  8. Start the onboarding process under the guidance of a professional and with the support of a committed Team.
