Work as a Functional Safety Expert for a leading automotive component manufacturing company, tasked with designing and developing innovative systems and components for futuristic electric vehicles. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to closely collaborate with our partner's customers on new programs and participate in design reviews. Additionally, they will communicate with internal subject matter experts at our partner's organization for technical guidance and training. Every three months, you will have the chance to visit our end clients in Germany, enhancing your knowledge and fostering strong relationships with the international team. Functional Safety Expert

• Collaborate with customers to develop safety concepts and analyze their impact on various vehicle functions,

• Apply your expertise in ECU development following ISO26262 standards,

• Conduct system-level functional safety activities, including HARA (Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment), safety architecture, safety concept development, system FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), safety analysis, safety requirements development, and safety test specifications,

• Develop safety requirements at the system, hardware, and software levels,

• Provide guidance and review safety implementations with hardware and software teams,

• Utilize tools such as Vector CAST and MATLAB tool chain for safety-related tasks,

• Possess expertise in communication technologies like CAN and SAE J1939.

• Master's or bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a similar field,

• Any experience in automotive will be a plus,

• Fluency in English,

• Solid experience in safety concept development and analysis of impact on vehicle functions,

• Proficient in ECU development following ISO26262 standards,

• Strong knowledge and experience in system-level functional safety activities, including HARA, safety architecture, safety concept development, system FMEA, safety analysis, safety requirements development, and safety test specifications,

• Ability to develop safety requirements at the system, hardware, and software levels,

• Skilled in guiding and reviewing safety implementations with hardware and software teams,

• Proficiency in tools such as Vector CAST and MATLAB tool chain,

• Familiarity with communication technologies like CAN and SAE J1939.

About the Project:

As a Functional Safety Expert at our leading Automotive component manufacturing company, you will be part of an exciting project focused on designing and developing new systems and components for futuristic electric vehicles. The project aims to revolutionize the automotive industry by integrating cutting-edge technologies and ensuring the highest levels of safety in the development process.

Your role will involve closely working with our esteemed Partner's customers, who are at the forefront of automotive innovation, to drive the success of new programs. You will actively participate in design reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that the safety requirements are met throughout the development lifecycle.

The project will require your expertise in safety concept development and analysis of the impact on various vehicle functions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety architectures, safety concepts, and system-level functional safety activities. This includes conducting HARA (Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment), system FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), safety analysis, and the development of safety test specifications.

Your valuable contributions will extend beyond technical aspects. As a Functional Safety Expert, you will also engage with our Partner's internal subject matter experts, providing and receiving technical guidance to enhance knowledge and expertise within the team. This collaborative environment will enable you to broaden your skills and stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.

Additionally, the project offers an opportunity to engage with international teams and build strong relationships with clients, as you will have the chance to visit end clients' locations in Germany every three months. These visits will not only foster a deeper understanding of client requirements but also enable you to broaden your knowledge and gain exposure to diverse perspectives.
