As a C++ Medical Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role within our product development team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality software solutions in a medical industry. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding a software scrum team, ensuring responsiveness, flexibility, and success in an open collaborative peer environment. You will focus on delivering software product backlog items in sprints, champion code refactoring, and lead by example in maintaining code quality, performance, and maintainability. 

C++ Engineering Lead (Medical industry)

• Lead and guide a software scrum team, serving as a key member to deliver software product backlog items within sprint cycles,

• Exhibit responsiveness and flexibility in a dynamic environment, adapting quickly to new technologies and tools required for project success,

• Drive the re-design and refactoring of applications to meet project requirements, with a strong emphasis on code quality, performance, and maintainability,

• Create and maintain unit tests using the Google Test framework to ensure the reliability and correctness of the software. Automate testing processes to improve efficiency,

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software developers and product owners, to gather refactoring needs and deliver high-quality software solutions that align with project goals,

• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to enhance overall code quality. Ensure that software development adheres to Agile principles and best practices,

• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, optimizing code, and enhancing system performance. Utilize problem-solving skills to address challenging software issues.

• Fluency in English,

• At least 5 years’ experience in C++ programming,

• A track record as a Senior C++ Engineer with expertise in re-designing and refactoring C++ applications, particularly in the context of large-scale legacy software maintenance,

• Proficiency in C++ programming, with a deep understanding of C++ STL (Standard Template Library) and UML (Unified Modelling Language),

• Extensive experience in unit testing and component testing, with the ability to automate testing processes,

• Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to troubleshoot complex software issues effectively,

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices,

• Knowledge of static code analysis and software profiling techniques.
