In this role, you will play a crucial part in our product development lifecycle by collaborating with cross-functional teams to oversee the release of our software tools. Your primary responsibility will be to streamline the release process, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products to our clients. Use demonstrated systems and software experience and lessons learned to improve the team proficiency in applying best-in-class tools to support the engineering development process (Electronics Development Framework - EDF) for electrified propulsion systems. Apply standard engineering methods and tool solutions defined in the EDF process to project-specific use cases. Be a change agent to support the organizational transformation of the electrified drive systems and software teams to achieve ASPICE compliance goals.

Tool Release Engineer

• Proactively analysing systems and software methods and tools, identifies opportunities for improvement and develops solutions,

• Uses demonstrated systems/software experience and lessons learned to drive engineering project teams to achieve their quality goals and leads project teams in the usage of PDS evolving methods and tools,

• Trains and transfers knowledge of the BorgWarner EDF standard tool sets to the engineering project teams,

• Works closely with the engineering teams to monitor performance of the systems and the measure the effectiveness of the toolchain to meet project requirements,

• Works closely with other functions to integrate the EDF tool interfaces to non-engineering systems,

• Collaborates with Tool Development Engineers to deliver an optimal engineering toolchain for the processes defined,

• Performs assessments of tool solutions to assure adherence to standards, processes and best practices,

• Performs random checks of methods and tools for consistencies and accuracy in projects,

• Monitors the projects’ customization and usage of the standard methods and tools to make recommendations for improvements.

• Engineering degree in Major Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar,

• Any experience in automotive will be a plus,

• Work experience as engineer at least for 2 years,

• Proficiency in using tools from one or more of the following tool domains: ALM, PLM, BPM, Requirements Management, Configuration Management, Work Product Reviews, Tool Integration, Cybersecurity, or Functional Safety,

• Practical knowledge of Tool Development Process and Coding standards,

• Demonstrated Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Software Quality Assurance competency,

• Experience in delivering a system/software product,

• Good written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills; effective working as a team member,

• Good command of English is a must.
