We currently looking for 6 Senior Surface Designers to join our newly formed team in Poland. As a team, we will be working closely with a leading Swedish automotive manufacturer to create innovative and cutting-edge designs for their latest commercial vehicles. We are seeking highly skilled individuals with extensive experience in creating complex shapes and surfaces for the automotive industry. The successful candidates will be responsible for developing 3D models and class A surfaces, and must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs. Surface Designer /3D Modeler

• Independently create and refine digital surfaces and Digital Shape Models (DSM),

• Evaluate and interpret styling input and technical criteria in the software Autodesk Alias or Icem Surf,

• Correctly interpret and fulfill styling intention according to verbal and visual input while upholding customer surface quality standards,

• Implement input affecting surface definition and follow all criteria requirements,

• Implement Gap & Flush quality requirements following customer Technical Design Quality (TDQ) process together with responsible designer and studio Engineer,

• Evaluate clay models and scan data toward criteria requirements before surface definition,

• Follow technical criteria from the responsible Studio Engineer,

• Correctly interpret styling and technical input and deliver surfaces and DSM,

• Offer styling solutions to meet technical and legal demands,

• Uphold DSM surface standards and provide the “right quality at the right time”.

• High-level experience in surface development and its tools: Alias and Icem surf in both Digital Class A and Digital concept modeling,

• Knowledge and understanding of surface topology, theoretical patch layout, and basic CAD hygiene,

• High level of understanding of the process of creating digital models E.g. technical criteria,

• High level of understanding of shape and form and ability to interpret different types of styling input and turn it into 3-dimensional models,

• Basic knowledge of different manufacturing processes (Tooling understanding),

• Basic technical knowledge regarding manufacturing techniques and limitations,

• Good command of English is a must.

• Generally, we pay above the market rates,

• Your salary will be highly correlated with your skills and mindset: 20.000-25.000 PLN for 5-8 yrs exp. and 25.000+ for 8+ yrs exp. gross PLN, a Leader with 20+ yrs exp. can expect an exceptional salary and bonuses,
