We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in data engineering to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, modifying, and adopting tools and processes that support self-service data pipeline management. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the adoption of data tools to modernize existing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) frameworks and processes. Collaborating with business and technology partners across the organization, you will assess data needs and prioritize adoption accordingly. Senior Software Engineer

 

 

 

 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Developing, modifying, and adopting tools and processes to support self-service data pipeline management,

  • Driving the adoption of data tools to modernize existing ETL frameworks and processes,

  • Collaborating with business and technology partners to assess data needs and prioritize adoption,

  • Identifying strategic opportunities for evolving the data engineering practice.

 

We require:

 

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering,

  • Experience building production data pipelines using frameworks such as PYTHON, Spark, Hive/Hadoop,

  • Hands-on experience with schema design and data modelling,

  • 10+ years of software development experience in a major programming language,

  • 3+ years of experience with common Python packages, such as PySpark,

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of practical working experience in Relational Databases, preferably Oracle or Oracle Exadata,

  • Software engineering mindset, striving to write maintainable and testable code,

  • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and familiarity with other data stores like Hadoop,

  • Experience with performance tuning data transformations across large datasets,

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills,

  • Understanding of the Agile methodology.
