PACS Technology Specialist

• Develop and plan strategies, providing technical support,

• Collaborate with the IT infrastructure team for storage and compute needs of the PACS application,

• Physically visit hospitals in coordination with admin, IT, and PACS system owner,

• Maintain, manage, and troubleshoot the PACS system,

• Install, configure, and administer the connection of modalities in the existing network,

• Manage the updating and archiving of image data,

• Implement storage solutions for received digital images and build routing solutions for diagnostic images,

• Administer user profiles,

• Manage supplier relationships and technology maintenance,

• Train end-users for updated/new deployments and system management improvement.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field,

• Minimum 2-years’ experience in a similar role,

• Fluency in English,

• Proven experience in a hospital environment in Europe,

• Certification as a PACS Interface Analyst (CPIA) is a must,

• Preferred experience with Philips iSite, Carestream, or other PACS such as Powershare, Sectra, Fuji Synapse, Fluency, etc,

• Good to have PACS Certified Associate/Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP),

• Knowledge of the HL7 / DICOM standard in theory and practice,

• Basic knowledge of database structures and ability to create database queries (e.g., SQL),

• Familiarity with server operating systems, virtual environments, networks, and safe handling of client hardware/software,

• Understanding of diagnostic images and workflows with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Radiological Information Systems (RIS),

• Working knowledge of VPN and NAT.
